| Third Blessing: Holiness4 |

You should speak of that experience in English. Say, “I remember the time when I did this, and this is what I felt like. Now, God, this is what I need today. Please, give it to me, or help me with this.” You finish that and you say the rest of the Amidah. But choose the phrase that you want to focus on. Remember when we said that the second blessing can be used to remind you of the security that you get from a mother? And the first blessing is that sense of connection to that which is greater than yourself. You can get specific ideas to focus on, know what you need to daven for, and use that blessing.
You can use this blessing for kedusha to pray for help when you don’t feel that you are davening well. Or, when you feel that you are keeping many mitzvot but are not really connecting.
