“As in the days when you left the land of Egypt I will show it wonders.” (Micah 7:15) A poor person who finds a million dollars will always recall that feeling. Even if he invests his money and makes many more millions,

he will always remember what ift felt like to find that first million.

So too, “When Israel went out of Egypt,” (psalms 114:1) was our first million. It will always be the most precious memory in our nations heart and soul. Even when the Messiah comes, to us it will feel “As in the days when you left the land of Egypt I will show it wonders.”

We must sing this paragraph of the Hallel with the appreciation that the moment when we left Egypt will forever be the most precious memory in our collective soul. (Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev)
