What is the Reason: We Will Be Healed |
Why in the beracha of refuah do we say, "we will be healed" and "we will be saved" after we ask Hashem to heal and save us while we don't say i.e."give us daas and we will have daas" or mention this passive-type phrase
in the other berachos? E.B.
There is no need to say, “we will be healed,” or, “we will be saved,” because they are both obvious. The Vilna Gaon explains that, “Heal us,” and “Save us,” refer to the teaching that the Refuah always comes before the Makah (Megillah 13b): My father zt’l explained the text, based on the Gra, as follows: “Refa’ainu, You created the healing, v’neirafai, allows us to access the healing that already exists,” it is not a statement that, “we will be healed,” but a prayer. “Hoshi’ainu, You created the salvation, v’nivashai’a, allow us to access the salvation.
