Mitzvah 21 - Concept 414 Print E-mail

613 Concepts“No uncircumcised male may eat of it.” (Exodus 12:48 – Rambam, Hilchot Korban Pesach)  The Children of Israel undertook two major missions in preparation for the Pesach Offering: They risked their lives by tying and publicly displaying the animal, the Egyptian god, as being prepared as an offering. They circumcised themselves before Pesach.

They accessed their logic by dealing with the issue of idol worship, and they accessed their souls by understanding that they must control their passions.

One cannot fully access his soul without using his intellect, and cannot appreciate the full potential of his intellect without the experience of taking intellectual insights and reifying them with action and experiencing how the actions resonate in his soul.
