The amelioration of one’s deeds in the area of his offense. 11. The searching and examination of one’s ways. 12. Know and recognize the magnitude of the punishment for each transgression. 13. The regarding of lesser transgressions as severe ones. 14. Confession. 15. Prayer. 16. Correcting the misdeed as far as possible. 17. To pursue works of living kindness and truth. 18. One’s sins being constantly before him. 19. The forsaking of one’s sin upon its presenting itself to him again. 20. To turn as many as possible from transgression.
