Kiddush Levana: Opening the Treasuries of the New |

 “Who renews the months (Blessing of Kiddush Levana).” The Midrash (Bereishit Rabbah 1:4) teaches that Israel was God’s ‘First Thought’ in Creation. Therefore, we must take full advantage of reaching out to
and connecting to that First Thought, before time, the Beginning, when we were the Primary Thought.
When we attach to that Beginning, we can access all the Treasures that are offered by the New, such as breaking habits, patterns of behavior, old ways of thinking, and most of all, the Treasure of Yirat Shamaim, Awe of Heaven.
