Every couple minutes there would be some more shots in the air, some times singles sometimes chains. We knew that some more Jews aren’t going to make it out of the war.
The next not “just could be” but “probably will be” me. 15 of Nisan year 194? In the Warsaw ghetto tonight wont be like any other night, yes the Sedar night. Every jew who decided “no more!” will stand up tonight and fight! No more going like sheep to the slaughter, this will probably mean are deaths but in other words this is probably just the beginning of are living. Just Moishle and his father sitting alone in the empty table just a couple of years ago Moishle was one of 11 siblings, now just him and his father are left. As with the last bit of physical and mental energy Moishle pushes out with all his energy the last crack of voice left in his throat. “father…. Wy is this night seferent then all the other nights?” (in that same toon that Jews all over the world sing the maneshtana) The father starring at his only left son with his red shot eyes shriveled up stomach that even if there was something to eat his stomach probably wouldn’t be able to digest it. Thinking to himself the answer that he had answered only a couple of years ago. So Moishle asks another question “father, father, next year will I still be alive to ask the “ma neshtana?” “father, next year will you still be alive so I will be able to ask you the ma neshtana “Moishle I don’t know if you will be alive, and Moishle I don’t know if I will be alive but Moishle one thing I do know. Moishle I know that some were in the world, no matter what happens we have a promise that some were there will be two Jews, a father and a son and the son will ask the father the ma neshtana. Suddenly the shots became more rapid then some bigger explosions started (grenades) Moishle and his father probably never made it out of the ghetto but Moishle found out why the sedar night is different then every other night. All Jews in the world remind each other that real freedom liberty is something that cannot be taken away from us. Even when we were locked up in the ghettos are spirits as a free jewish nation was still free. Remember we are a free people with a free spirit, don’t let anyone (especially your self!) to take it away from us…. Happy liberty day! Any comments please send to
