Vayakhel-A Constrained Teacher Print E-mail

The-Foundation-Stone-Parsha-Bible-Study-VayakhelThe 18th of Adar is the Yahrtzeit of Rav Nachum Mordechai (ben Yisrael) Friedman (1946), Tchortkover Rebbe [Adar II]: “Moses assembled the entire assembly of the Children of Israel (Exodus 35:1).” Targum implies that Moshe constrained himself and gathered all his greatness within, so that he would be able to assemble all the people, those who were great and could stand in the presence of his greatness, and the simple people who could not stand in his unconstrained presence. This is a lesson to all teachers. (Divrei David, Rabbi David Moshe of Tchortkov)
